Post 1 week in Batu Pahat

Seriously it seems freaking long since my last update. I had passed my first professional exam in Sem 9. Currently moving on, looking for new experience in Batu Pahat. Starting with Medicine posting. My housemates - Leong, Ellice, and Hui Ying. Maybe not.
It had been a lonely first week. Besides the busy ward round, searching for cases for portfolios, classes, and CFCS, every action and every task was just like entertaining only myself. I noticed that I had been drifting away from the reality. Emptiness, loneliness, losing appetite, insomnia, and the feeling of everything is under my control. It's like the whole universe was just mine. And I'm the lonely guy in that freaking universe. What's going wrong with me eh? Diagnosis? Havent reach two weeks yet. Still have another week to diagnose myself as having MDD. Damn... Yet, still able to function in the society. I have my dear dear to support me. Zher Lin is still a funny and Chinese guy to me. Some of the pieces are still intact and I'm blessed for those. Anyway, I'm now officially reopening my blog. Guess that this is the only place that I'm going to speak out for another 6 months? Perhaps.
Signing off.

Operating theatre

What is the function of operating theatre (OT)? Easy way to say is that it functions to cut people up. But many interesting things can happen in OT, especially today. Lets focus more on the health care workers.
Today case - this patient came into the OT with deep laceration wound with multiple tendons cut due to alleged industrial injury. Tendon exploration and repair was planned in this patient. He was on regional block, known as brachial plexus block. Meaning, he is awake!
The surgeon was the main joker in this scenario. I was asked by the OT nurse about the entry into student logbook. And guess what, the surgeon said, "Of course lah. Simply come in. Manatau if u are the murderer. Then how?" (Stunned)
Nevermind. Moving on. The surgery had started. Cutting here and there. Playing with the skin, fat, fascias, tendons, muscles, and vessels. And then, this surgeon was moving the fingers to confirm the right tendons. He moved the middle finger and asked us, "What tendon is this?" Zherlin answered, "Extensor digitorum" He replied, "Very good. Did u see the finger (middle) moving? The patient asked u to F off." (Stunned to the max) Did I mention above that patient was awake? (Sweat)
Lets continue. Throughout the operation, the nurses and anaesthesiologist were chatting. Occasionally, the anaesthesiologist laughed so loud. My God...Please respect the patient lah. Somemore at the very end of the operation, he on music using his handphone. Even worse, he charged his handphone in OT! Zzzzz....
I tell you. If Datuk A.E.Delilkan is here, he will kill each of them! By the way, Datuk Delilkan is one of the pioneer anaesthesiologists in Malaysia who contributed so much, which include starting the first ICU and consent form in Malaysia. Solute!
Alright. Conclusion of the day: A very "productive" day in OT. Signing off. (Blast!)

So Tight

After the gym session today, I felt...very tight. So tight all over my body~ (Sound geli actually lol). Collected my minor posting exam results today. Didn't expect to get that kind of results but I felt happy though. Haha! Waiting for dear to online. Tak tau mana dia pergi lah. Bah. Signing out. (Foork!)

Protect

"To kill or to protect?"
Sounds like Arnold aka the Terminator. Lol. Anyway my point is that I miss the feeling of protecting and taking care of someone. You know who you are. :)
Anyhow, projection is not a good defense mechanism in this case. Bah. Signing off. (Toot!)

ED

Triage: Green. Yellow. Red. Traffic light? From green to yellow to red. Never from red to yellow to green. Mistake in triaging is really a no-no in ED. Keep in mind.

>_<

I noticed my last post was like one month ago, which was last year december?! Holy. How long was that man. Time flies. My dear dear already went back to Perth yesterday for second year. Going to miss her :(

Anyway, currently I'm doing A&E posting. Awesome, chi gek, RawRness~ Of course, resuscitating a patient is not a happy thing AT ALL.

Just a video I watched in youtube half an hour ago. Forget about the front and back part of the video. And concentrate on the 'baby' part! Cute~

Alrighty. Signing off now. Wonder what I should eat for dinner. Hmm...
